Rule 63 Exchange 2019

Dear Author, the letter is finally done; sorry to make you wait. I'm very excited to read what you have in store for me, and know it'll be a fantastic gift. All the prompts below are suggestions (and so are the names) - you're more than welcome to ODAO if that suits you better. I'll love it all the same. For the most part I'm really just happy to imagine the R63'd male characters as women, and anything in the vein of canon (gen or smut) would be great; I'm easy to please in that regard!

• My entire signup is for Always a 63. Where I haven't requested explicit-only, please feel free to dig into history, backstory, worldbuilding and the ramifications of a character being their 63'd counterpart. What would feasibly change? Would it? What would group dynamics be like? Canon reimaginings of existing or missing scenes.
• In the explicit requests I'm pretty much just looking for interesting pairing dynamics for the messed-up femslash that's rare in my usual fandoms, so feel free to capitalize on that aspect of the relationships, darkness and dubcon encouraged and welcome where it fits the characters.
• Name changes - I've given suggestions in a few places, but you're welcome to bring your own.
• Complex female characters, female villains or morally grey characters, characters learning to overcome issues with love and/or intimacy, redemption, through love or otherwise.

• Generally I find porn as character study amazing, rather than just a rundown of whatever sex they're having. Show me what and how they enjoy!
• Consent, especially enthusiastic consent, laughter during sex, characters having a good time together.
• Dubcon where characters enjoy themselves but aren't quite on board with it initially and get swayed/seduced into it along the way.
• A darker shade of dubcon/noncon in which a character is coerced into sex by some outside motive - avoiding discovery of a secret, threats by the aggressor(s) against someone the victim wants to protect, submission out of a sense of duty/tradition, displays of power.
• Enemies/rivals who are attracted to one another against their will
• Body worship, hair play, grooming/washing/bathing as foreplay or prelude to smut.

Lord of the Rings (Book) - Rating: General, Explicit

F!Aragorn/M!Arwen
Name suggestions: Arwen > Arion / Estel, Aragorn, Thorongil > Esteleth, Aranwen, Aranel, Arrían, Thoronel

F!Aragorn as a Ranger on her travels, longing for her lover, or is she forced into a more feminine role, staying in Rivendell with Gilraen? Arwen and Aragorn's first meeting after F!Aragorn becomes aware of her heritage? In either case, would Elrond have attempted to keep his youngest child a secret from F!Aragorn, and what about the Kingship (Queenship?) of Gondor - an attainable goal as Tolkien's male-primogeniture and the whole inheritance muddle involving Fíriel went? Is there a prophecy about a Queen reuniting Gondor and Arnor, or does F!Aragorn take matters into her own hands, defying prophecy for Arwen's/Arion's sake? For M!Arwen, I'd be very interested in him "marrying down" by falling in love with F!Aragorn and all the questions and historical precedent that entails (looking at Angrod and Elros in particular). Does it meet opposition because most of the famous Elf/Man unions were elvish women falling in love with mortal men?

For smut: I'm happy about either pairing fantasizing/masturbating about the other, or mutual masturbation while watching each other, testing out how far they can go before sex = marriage as per LaCE (if you go by that interpretation, that is, not sex involving ritual = marriage) especially in the F/F constellation of the pairing, the aftermath of their betrothal on Cerin Amroth and sealing their promise, their wedding night after decades of pent-up longing if they were kept apart/abstinent...

The Silmarillion - Rating: General, Explicit

Aerin/F!Brodda
Name suggestions: None; Brodda might as well be unisex.

I'd be interested in something that maintains Brodda's canon characterization, but as a woman. How would she go about conquering Dor-Lómin, among (presumably) a lot of male Easterlings, what lends her credence and makes her stand out? Is she sly? Cruel? Deceptive? How does Aerin fare as the wife of another woman? Is she taken in by Brodda's act or harbours no illusions about her future life? What does she do to maintain her canon role of keeping her people safe?

I'm not necessarily looking for smut here, but if you'd like to write it, please go ahead. I'd rather not read violent non-con, but something that involves the power dynamics in this pairing could be interesting to explore.

F!Fingon/F!Maedhros

So many scenarios I'd love to see explored for these two! F!Maedhros' hold on her title as a lord/lady of the Noldor - how is that accepted especially in the aftermath of Angband when (presumably) her brothers held the power? What about F!Fingon, is she in a similar position? Rescue fic or the aftermath of Angband from a physical perspective - healing, hurt/comfort, coping with trauma (although I'd prefer there to be no implication that just for being a woman, F!Maedhros was raped as a means of torturing her), re-learning life, F!Fingon's support through all this, maybe juxtaposed with F!Fingon's arrival in Hithlum and recovering after Helcaraxë?

For smut: Anything, you can't go wrong here. I'm not much of a fan of healing cock/pussy tropes, but awkward firsts would be great while/after F!Maedhris is recovering/has recovered from her ordeal. But really, anything goes, no matter how inconsequential it is in the grander scheme of events. The Noldor are suffering enough canonically, so you won't find me objecting to them simply having a nice time.

For these three constellations I am really excited for the prospect of villainous, antagonistic female characters. I am fine with either the Silm version of F!Pharazôn's usurpation of Míriel's throne - how is the marriage explained in this case? Is it Míriel's doing to retain a measure of control? Or how about the HoMe version featuring Míriel actually falling for Pharazôn and being complicit in the whole thing? F!Sauron can come, too, of course - submitting to F!Pharazôn and the Númenorean army, her rise to power, throwing in a bit of intrigue and conspiracy? (I'd rather not read about the later part of the story involving human sacrifice).

For smut: Any of the above scenarios, really, In more explicit takes. F!Sauron submits to F!Ar-Pharazon quite literally (with a side of topping from the bottom and getting more out of the encounter?) Early during F!Sauron's rise to power, an attempt to sway Tar-Míriel by way of a threesome or really confer her powerlessness? Or, really, Míriel one-upping the two of them in some way?

The Hobbit (Movies) - Rating: Explicit

F!Legolas Greenleaf/Tauriel
Name suggestions: Legolas isn't a gendered name, so I'm fine with the original form, if you want it to sound more feminine (albeit with a different etymology) how about Legolin?

For this one, I'm only here for the smut - lady/knight dynamics, Tauriel warming to F!Legolas' attentions, some forest fertility festival featuring masks or hidden identities that offers plausible deniability? Maybe F!Legolas invokes some sort of royal privilege or power to get Tauriel to comply in other situations (even though she is maintaining canon distance), desperate comfort sex after the battle of Erebor?

Stand Still Stay Silent - Rating: General, Explicit

F!Emil Västerström/F!Lalli Hotakainen
Name suggestions: Emil > Emilia, Emma / Lalli > Laila/Leila, Lilja, Lyyli

I love these two so much? Emil's heart of gold and Lalli warming to him in his own way is beautiful, and I'd love more of the same dynamics in an R65 scenario, even taking into account possible changes. More dream-based Hotakainen backstory featuring F!Emil (and no Reynir? I love him, but for the sake of this request he might be third-wheeling). Wilderness survival that forces them to rely on one another in an angst or H/C scenario?

For smut: Something awkward, fumbly and sweet with imperfections, laughter and silliness would be fantastic. I have no clear preference about their experience levels, from just working out that they are attracted to girls (or each other specifically) and having their first time together to one of them surprising the other with her experience... comfort sex while they're alone in the wilderness? Sex in the dreamworld in f!Lalli's haven or on the sofa of Emil's living room, or, involving some of their shared dreams' surreal experiences?

F!Reynir Árnason/Tuuri Hotakainen
Name suggestions: Reynir Árnason > Reyn/Reyndís Árnadóttir

I'm so endeared by the fact that these two share a birthday, and the same general traits of seeking adventure and wanting more out of life than what's offered to them? Not to mention that I expected Reynir to be a girl for the longest time, so I want fic to explore this in more detail. Maybe F!Reynir was recognized as a mage much sooner (just due to it being a predominantly female skill) and received enough training to stave off Sleipnope's attack and Tuuri being infected? Or perhaps it's the power of f!Reynir's love protecting Tuuri? Or (here comes my signature request) a Tuonela rescue fic? Or a canon-divergent AU on top of the R63, in which Tuuri is along on their next mission?

For smut: Something sweet and a little wicked, with Tuuri's weasellier tendencies making an experience while they're in bed? I'm sorry this is so nonspecific, but maybe the emotional vibe helps inspire you?

F!Onni Hotakainen/F!Reynir Árnason
Name suggestions: Onni > Onneli / Reynir Árnason > Reyn/Reyndís Árnadóttir

Reconciliation fic? The more the crew is looking for Onni in canon, the more I want Reynir to be the one to find him, and the same is still true for fic. They didn't exactly part on the best of terms, and it'd just be wonderful to have gruff F!Onni relenting and admitting she likes F!Reynir, or for things to go south on F!Onni's own private mission (which is...?) and F!Reynir coming to the rescue as opposed to the Onni-ex-Machina that happened in canon a few times now.

For smut - anything that gets them into bed and keeps their canon dynamics in mind, really, or F!Reynir's sweetness totally disarming F!Onni? Even better if a bit of roughness or wall-slamming and the canon height difference is kept.

F!Ukko-Pekka/Ensi Hotakainen

The encounter of Ensi and Ukko-Pekka, just crossing paths in the forest one night, having sex and then going their seperate ways again, cracks me up, and I want all the fic about it, even if it's really just a PWP containing some sex magic, and especially with Ukko-Pekka being female - and to have fun with the fan theory that Ensi ran into the actual deity Ukko - a female thunder-god? Or, in this case, earth-goddess Akka?

The Dragon Prince - Rating: Explicit

F!Aaravos/F!Viren
Name suggestions: None, since these are fantasy names that don't follow explicit, apparent rules as in e.g. Tolkien's languages. Feel free to keep as-is.

Hmm. I'd love for this to encounter some sort of voice-kink. Canon Aaravos' voice is amazing and I want to listen to it forever, and that is a characteristic I'd absolutely want to carry over into the R63. It'd be fun, too, if F!Viren were just as ruthless, power-hungry and intrigued by Aaravos as in canon, including the antagonistic undertones and Aaravos using Viren for his own purposes. Aaravos' voice in F!Viren's head talking dirty while they're alone in the cell, or maybe there's some sex-magic way to free her out of the mirror and make it real? Encounters through the mirror? If this is the prompt you want to write, I hope this is something you can work with, dear author!
